My motto is ‘NATURAL - SUSTAINABLE – TRACEABLE’. I am passionate about working with yarn that is sourced from Scottish small-scale farmers, crofters and producers. I use this yarn to hand craft pure wool and sheepskin baby soft shoes/ booties. Each pair includes full traceability information to actively promote and educate about the versatility and sustainability of Scottish wool. My products reflect the inspiration I take from the historic and natural biodiversity found locally in rural Galloway, South West Scotland. I design knitting and crochet patterns & kits with themes such as Sanquhar knitting, Wild Red Kites, Belted Galloway and Highland Cows, Black Faced Sheep, etc…). I hand dye farm-traceable wool using natural plant sources. I also hand dye cotton embroidery threads and design embroidery kits with a modern, quirky slant that is based upon historical Blackwork and cross-stitch techniques.
