I have a passion for promoting small-scale yarn producers in the UK, particularly in Scotland. I have developed the ‘Peedie Naturals’ range of booties/ soft shoes for babies (‘Peedie’ is Orcadian for small). The range uses pure non-superwash wool, alapaca, and speciality yarns.

My mantra is:

– Natural

– Sustainable

– Traceable

I aim to provide products in this range that honour these principles. Labelling will tell you who produced and processed the yarn, where it is located from, and even sometimes the sheep’s name! Most are undyed, natural shades. Some are naturally hand-dyed shades.

I have also just launched the “peedie Naturals’ rainbow coloured range, using my own colourful hand dyed yarn, amd also from small-scale indie dyers based in the UK.

I also offer a lovely range using Shetland/ Cheviot wool that has been produced in Scottish Clan inspired colour by The Scottish Yarn Company.

All of the ‘Peedie Naturals’ baby booties/ soft shoes have 100% sheepskin soles and soft fleece inners. The sheepskin is sourced from the Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK
